A Brief History of E-Z Learning

E-Z Learning was developed because of the unique characteristics of young children and the importance of helping them to achieve their potential.  Until recently (last 5 years), diagnosing and teaching children at risk for reading failure was not required until children were in the third grade.  Jan McCain M.A./LDBD developed E-Z Learning sequences and products because children were falling through the cracks, and there were not appropriate materials for the cognitive stages of young children, nor were there appropriate materials for the large and small motor abilities of young children.  For over 20 years Jan has been developing and testing products and techniques that have worked with this age group.  She has used them in the classroom and in her highly successful private practice “Learning Crossroads.”  Pediatricians, psychologists, learning specialists, speech and language specialists all encouraged Jan to make E-Z Learning products more widely available.
